The Elbow River curves around Britannia, with the neighborhood defined by the Sandy Beach Park and Altadore Park along the river front forming its western edge. Riverdale Avenue SW and Lansdowne Avenue SW aren’t considered part of Britannia, but are within the literal elbow of the river. The Britannia neighborhood formally ends at Elbow Drive SW. 50th Avenue SW is its southern border, with part of the neighborhood adjacent to Calgary Golf and Country Club. Stanley Park is close by.
Coach Hill has a population of around three thousand people. It is part of Ward 8. It has a mixture of houses, apartments and condos for a variety of price points. The population is slowly growing, but there is no development plan in place to replace housing with high density development in this area.
The University of Calgary is almost walking distance away. Ambrose University is a bike ride away. SAIT Polytechnic is a roughly half hour drive from Coach Hill.
Collingwood is a suburban community located in the northwest part of Calgary. It is bounded to the north by Nose Hill Park and to the south by Confederation Park so there is no shortage of places to run and exercise. Collingwood is a quiet neighborhood in a terrific position, allowing its residents great access to the entire northwest as well as an easy commute to downtown thanks to a nearby LRT station.
Collingwood is also something of a hub of educational resources and institutions.

Arbour Lake was built in 1992. One year later the community association was organized. The community is located in NW Calgary and gets it's name from a 10 acre man made private lake located in the center of the community. Originally owned by the Hudson’s Bay Company, the land Bankview
sits on today was purchased up by English immigrant William Nimmons
in 1882. Initially purchased for farming and ranching, the city bought
Nimmon’s land in the early 1900’s and started development in 1908.
Now a heritage building in the community, Nimmon’s homestead still
stands today. Known as one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Calgary,
Bankview showcases panoramic views of downtown Calgary.
None of the properties officially in Bayview are apartments or condos. Established in 1979, Beddington Heights is one of the largest residential communities of Calgary. The community was a Canadian Pacific Railway station until late 1970s. Beddington heights acquired its name from an England city in Surreal with the same name. With a population of about 12,500 living in around 4,500 residential units, Beddington Heights offers a world of comfort and luxury at an affordable cost.
One and two bedroom apartments near Bel Aire range from $1,000 to $3,000 a month, depending on the size of the unit, its proximity to public transportation and amenities. There are relatively few Bel Aire area condos for sale. There are no condominiums in Bel Aire itself; within the neighborhood boundaries, there are only single family detached homes.

Lake Bonavista is a neighbourhood in Southeast Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Anderson Road to the North, Macleod Trail to the West, Canyon Meadows Drive to the South, and Bow Bottom Trail to the East. The small community of Bonavista Downs resides in the north-east corner of the neighbourhood.

Bowness is a neighborhood in northwest Calgary. Bowness is located in the Bow River valley and is unusual in that it used to be its own town before being consolidated with much larger Calgary.

Bridgeland/Riverside is located within easy walking distance of Downtown Calgary. Its main boundary is defined by a steep escarpment on the west, north, and east, thereby separating it from its neighboring residential communities of Crescent Heights and Renfrew. Cambrian Heights is a residential neighborhood located in the Northwest part of Calgary, Alberta. The land was annexed to the city as early as 1910 but development didn’t begin in earnest until around 1957 when the community was formally established. Set at thesouth end of Nose Hill Park, and the north end of Confederation Park, there is always plenty to do in Cambrian Heights.
The local Community Centre plays host to a number of classes ranging from yoga, dance, martial arts and dog training. Two skating rinks accommodate the area, one of which is paved for use by in-line skaters and floor hockey during the summer months.For those who enjoy a good game of golf, you’re in luck. The Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club is a private club that is recognized as a premier championship golf course.
The northern border of this community consists of parks along the river like Confederation Park and the Confederation Park Golf Course. Collingwood is north of the riverside parkland, Rosemont to the northeast, Charleswood to the northwest. The Trans-Canada Highway is the southern boundary of this community. Hillhurst is south of this community. 10th Street NW is the eastern border, Mount Pleasant past that boundary. 19th Street NW is the western boundary.
Castleridge is a residential neighbourhood in the north-east quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located east of the Calgary International Airport and is bounded by 64 Avenue N to the north, 44 Street E to the west, McKnight Boulevard to the south and Falconridge Boulevard to the east.
Castleridge was established in 1980 on land transferred from the Municipal District of Rocky View to the city in 1961. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 5 councillor.
Braeside Drive is a bike friendly road, joining with 19th St. SW and Bradbury Drive. Trails that are suitable for bikes stretch along Oakmount Drive SW and 37th St SW. 98 Avenue SW is a bike friendly road. This provides a bike friendly route around the outside of the neighborhood. This path links parks like Braeside Park with half a dozen smaller ones. The trails connect to Woodpark Blvd SW to provide a route down to Provincial Park.
The end result of the redevelopment plan is a large residential neighborhood with modern amenities close to downtown. CFB Currie homes for sale are already on the market, much newer than many of their rivals in surrounding neighborhoods.
You can find three bedroom and four bedroom CFB Currie houses for sale for around 2 million if you want a larger yard. There are small three bedroom houses for sale on CFB Currie for not much over a million dollars.
This is an excellent location for professors and staffers who want to walk or bike to work. Most of the university is within a 20 minute walk.
One of the upsides of a large student population is the abundance of apartments for rent around Lincoln Park PMQ. The downside is that there are not many CFB Lincoln Park homes for sale. There are many Lincoln Park South condos for sale. A two bedroom townhome in Lincoln Park costs $500,000 to $700,000, depending on size and location.
Chaparral is predominantly single family detached homes, though there is a good selection of townhomes. Chaparral houses for sale come in at nearly $400,000 for a 3 bedroom 1,250 square foot detached home. The community offers properties at all price points. You can find large 2,200 square foot homes in the $800,000 price range. Houses on the water or overlooking the Bow River Valley come with a higher price tag. A 4,000 square foot house backing onto the lake approaches four million dollars.
Charlewood is a neighborhood in northwest Calgary that borders the University of Calgary but offers lower housing prices than surrounding neighborhoods. Charleswood has an average walk score of 48, a public transit score of 53 and high bike score of 90 due to its flat terrain and excellent bike lanes. The main bus routes are along Northmount Drive NW, 19th Street NW and Charleswood Drive NW. The closest train station is the Crowfoot/Bridlewood/Somerset station by the university.
A small bachelor suite rents for around a thousand a month. A one bedroom apartment with one bath rents for about $1,500 a month. In contrast, a two bedroom two bath Chinatown condo with 3,000 square feet costs about two million dollars if it doesn’t have a premium view or fancy amenities, whereas waterfront properties and premium properties cost three to four million dollars for a condo.
Chinook Park School, a bilingual elementary school, is directly across 75th Avenue SW, as is Henry Wise Wood High School. Bishop Grandin High School is a kilometer away, while the Calgary Jewish Academy is a kilometer and a half away. There are several preschools, dance schools and other after-school activities in the area. A skate park is in development in Chinook Park. Henry Wise High School hosts a number of programs like yoga, karate and tennis.
There are not many Christie Park condos for sale. There are many Christie Park houses for sale. Four and five bedroom single family homes are a million dollars to million and a half dollars; the price goes up with the square footage and down with age. You can find Christie Park houses with large lots. Two and three bedroom properties are in the $500,000 to $650,000 price range. Two and three bedroom row houses cost $350,000 to $450,000.
Citadel has Sarcee Trail to its east, Stoney Trail on its east and west and Country Hills Boulevard to the south. Hence the community offers fantastic views of lush green mountains and ravens. The center of the community has a large green area for the resident’s recreational purposes. It has tree-lined pathways, playgrounds, soccer pitches, a hockey rink, baseball diamonds, tennis courts. From the central recreational area the roads extend symmetrically as the spokes of the wheel.
Cityscape is one of Calgary’s newest neighborhoods. The name “Cityscape” was approved in 2013. The community was developed by Mattamy Homes. Cityscape is designed for walkability, with a grid style street pattern. For the time being, the community receives a low walk score because the schools, shops and other amenities intended to be in walking distance are not yet filled in. The community gets a bike score of 40 due to the flat terrain and a few bike lanes.

This neighborhood is a thirty minute trip on public transit from the Calgary Zoo. The Riverfront is a twenty minute ride on public transit. Earl Grey Park and Lindsay Park are a short walk or bike ride from most of the neighborhood. Lindsay Park features basketball, racquetball and swimming.
Cliff Bungalow is served by Western Canada High School. That school is technically in the Lower Mount Royal neighborhood. Our Lady of Lourdes, Elbow Park School and a number of preschools are nearby.

South Trail Crossing is the closest major retail hub.Acadia Elementary School serves grades kindergarten through fourth. David Thompson is for fifth and sixth grade.
Coral Springs is a residential neighbourhood in the north-east quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the eastern edge of the city and is bounded by 64 Avenue N to the north, McKnight Boulevard to the south, 68 Street E to the west and 84 Street E and the Rocky View County to the east.
Coral Springs is a new community, established in 1991. It was built with an architectural style and layout that emphasizes its Californian theme, with a lake at the center of the neighbourhood.
Cougar Ridge Calgary homes for sale also feature condominiums, townhouses and duplexes, which are great for those who are just starting out or those home owners who don’t need as much space as others. Coventry Hills is a beautiful modern residential community that was established in the year of 1991. The lovely backdrop of Nose Creek Valley and Harvest Hills golf course facilitates the community’s enchanting and picturesque views. Coventry Hills is on the north of Calgary and is surrounded by Stoney Trail, Deerfoot Trail, Country Hills and Harvest Hills Boulevards. The proximity to large roadways of Deerfoot and Stoney Trail facilitates the residents of this calm suburban community.
Lord Beaverbrook is the local public senior high school. Students in this community have the option of attending Dr. E. P. Scarlett and Bishop O’Byrne.
This community is a short commute from St. Mary’s University. Our Lady of the Evergreens and Glenmore Christian Academy are a few kilometers west.There are several daycares and preschools in this community, as well as a wealth of after-school activities.
Crescent Heights is one of the oldest communities in Calgary, originally founded in 1914. It contains a mix of old bungalows, low-rise apartments overlooking downtown and re-developed single family residences. Currently the area is undergoing some revitalization. Crescent Heights is situated on a hill overlooking Bow River and the downtown core, and many of the homes feature spectacular views of both.
South west of Calgary has a beautiful residential neighborhood named Crestmont. John Laurie Boulevard is the southern border of this community, Dalhousie beyond it. Brentwood are to the southwest, the Ranchlands to the southwest. Sarcee Trail is the western border. Hawkwood is to the west, Citadel to the northwest. Country Hills Boulevard is the northern boundary, the Hamptons beyond it. Shaganappi Trail is the eastern border. Nose Hill Park is to the west, Brentwood to the southwest, MacEwan Glen to the northeast.
Considered inner-city Calgary, Elbow Park is located only 3 kms from Calgary’s downtown core. But what makes this community truly incredible is it’s close proximity to a variety of recreational areas. Residents of the area have easy access to Calgary’s pathway system for walking, biking or rollerblading as well as a number of playgrounds, tennis courts, swimming pools and basketball courts in the area.
