The community of Ogden is one of the older neighbourhoods of Calgary and is located in the Southeast quadrant. The area was originally settled in the early 1900’s and Ogden thrived around the CPR repair shop that was built there in 1913. The train repair shop was known as ‘Ogden Shops’ and provided a main source of employment for the early settlers and continued to offer on-going employment throughout the years.  Ogden was named after I.G.
